My education

I received my training in holistic health coaching at the Institute of Integrative Nutrition (IIN)™ and in  transformational life coaching at the Southwest Institute of Healing Arts (SWIHA). I am a former social researcher in child abuse and family violence issues. I have worked in US inner cities, slums and remote villages of Kenya and on a project for a displaced group in Thailand examining their experiences related to violence, interviewing hundreds of children, teens and adults. I have hosted workshops and spoke at conference on child abuse issues, including consequences, recovery and prevention. I have years of experience as a peer counselor, peer educator and volunteer counselor. I hold a Masters Degree in International Children's Rights & Educational Sciences from one of the top universities in the world. My Masters field research and thesis examined physical, emotional, sexual abuse and neglect against children in Kenya. I have a Bachelors Degree in Psychology with a focus on child abuse. My Masters Thesis examined the risk for developing self-destructive behavior (eating disorders, self-harm and substance abuse) in adolescence among those who were abused and witnessed abuse. Additionally, I have worked as a Teacher of English as a Second Language and volunteered on organic farms and eco-projects internationally, gaining a more holistic, as well as a cultural understanding of life and healing. My education  equipped me with extensive knowledge in holistic nutrition, holistic health coaching, life coaching and preventative health. But more than that: I bring personal life experiences to really understand and guide my clients. My skills, knowledge and experiences allow me to address all your concerns - physical, emotional, and spiritual - from a truly holistic point of view to achieve a true transformation and lasting results in your life.
